Staff from Pets Choice head office in Blackburn have raised almost £5000 by participating in Newcastle’s Great North Run. The team of 5 have been in training for months running after work and at weekends to ensure that they were fit for the 13 mile event.

Chief executive Tony Raeburn said after completing the race: “we’re all very proud to have run for such a worthwhile cause as Team Guide Dogs and have been delighted by the generosity of our colleagues, customers and suppliers, helping us to raise so much. Thanks to everyone who has been involved with our efforts”.

The money raised will be donated to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, helping to train guide dogs, giving freedom and mobility to blind and partially sighted people.
